Becky Patterson, founder of CharmedPurr Devon Rex, grew up in Northern Wisconsin surrounded by cats, dogs, and horses. She studied graphic and website design in college before moving to Southwest Florida in 1999, where she built a career in real estate. After a decade in the market, she decided to return to her first love — animals.

She began fostering and rescuing cats (despite her husband's allergies), which led to working at a local veterinary clinic and becoming a vet tech. A couple of years later, she sat her husband down and told him she wanted to breed and show Devon Rex. The rest, as they say, is history.

Becky was first introduced to the Devon Rex breed in 2002 while searching for a cat that her husband's allergies could tolerate. They purchased two pet Devon Rex females and the love affair began. A few years later, two more followed.

After a couple of difficult experiences purchasing cats with undisclosed health issues, she made a decision: if she was going to breed, health, welfare, and quality would come first — always. Providing a genuinely high level of care and customer service became equally important. Becky works hard every day toward those goals and is deeply proud of what CharmedPurr has become. When she's not with her cats, she and her husband Bob enjoy boating, kayaking, and spending time outdoors with their grandson.
